Ongelma

The current portal slider showed too little context up front, mixed different content types together, and offered limited support for touch-friendly browsing and link-rich descriptions.

Mitä tein

Analyzed the current slider, produced multiple wireframe alternatives, compared their tradeoffs, and created mockups for a dual-image treatment with clearer descriptions, stronger navigation, and better separation between corporate and FOB content.

Vaikutus

The work turned a generic carousel into a more deliberate UX component study, clarifying how content hierarchy, touch interaction, and information density affect enterprise homepage engagement.

Opit

Component design is not just aesthetics. Small choices around description placement, content grouping, and control size radically change how understandable a homepage module feels. This component study explored how a homepage slider could become more informative and more usable than the existing simple carousel. It compares several interaction patterns, then moves into richer mockups that separate corporate and field content while preserving fast scanning.
