Problem
MyMacys.net portal's SharePoint 2013 upgrade presented opportunity to redesign navigation architecture, requiring exploration of mega-menu approach that would improve findability across enterprise portal serving 167,000 employees while maintaining familiarity.

Lessons
Mega-menus solve enterprise portal navigation when done right—showing full content hierarchy reduces guessing and improves findability, but wireframes must be detailed enough to communicate organization, not just demonstrate the pattern.
